BT-4 ERC Paintball Marker reviewI owned and recently sold a BT-4 ERC paintball gun, in need of money. The set-up was: BT-4, Rip Clip, and e-trigger. I replaced the stock hopper with an X7 hopper and purchased a hopper skin produced by Special Ops Paintball and available at Red Dot Paintball. The X7 hopper fits the Rip Clip and gives the paintball gun a lower profile. I like how the BT is lighter in weight compared to Tippmann's, and I actually was able to get a higher rate of fire with the BT paintball gun. The rental markers used for woodsball are BT-4s and they seem to hold up rather well at the paintball field we play at. I chose to sell the BT instead of the Tippmann because the plastic on the grip was not sturdy and certainly not weather proof. The grip on the e-trigger was my only complaint about this marker.
The purchase also included the apex barrel. The barrel is similar to Tippmann’s flatline. Besides the look, the main difference between the two is the apex can curve and drop shot balls by turning the tip on the barrel. I played around with the curving feature and it can be a valuable tool but will take a lot a practice before a person becomes effective with it.
