When I received the jersey I was weary about the protection being too thin and inadequate. After receiving hits, it turns out the protection in the forearms, shoulders, and elbows are just fine after all. Ventilation is provided by a “mesh and lycra panel” that are located on both sides of the jersey. I suggest ordering one size up if you plan to wear any additional padding under the jersey.
